Solana Beach may have been the last city in North County to ban booze on its beaches, but it’s the first in the area to adopt a policy to improve public safety when it comes to selling and serving alcohol.
City Council voted June 25 to deny an appeal of the Planning Commission’s decision to approve the building of a Walgreens at the northwest corner of El Camino Real and Encinitas Boulevard.
The city held a final public meeting June 30 to examine allowable uses for some of the last remaining open space in the city.
